This featured bathroom includes a Sapele Mahogany Countertop designed by Vawn Greany CMKBD lead designer and Trisha Gaffney AKBD co-designer of Collaborative Interiors.
About the Designer: As a Certified Master Kitchen & Bath Designer, Vawn enjoys specializing in cabinetry and thrives on kitchen and bath design. Vawn has been published numerous times in local and national publications, as well as won several local design awards. In 2008, after several successful years in the cabinet/design industry, she launched her own design firm, Collaborative Interiors, in Seattle Washington.
A Tip from Vawn: Hidden supports and center lines were very important in this project. To be sure all details work out perfectly, it’s helpful to collaborate with vendors and tradesmen during the planning and construction phases.

Advice: Big things come in small packages. It’s hard to believe that this was just and old shoe / mail closet before! The details of this naturally styled powder room fell into place nicely. It was fun to figure out the compact, spatial details so that everything would function comfortably in a room only 48″ wide. The beautiful Sapele floating vanity was perfectly arched to miss the door swing and the wall hung toilet saved space. All fixtures are complimented by the subtle color and rough texture of the stacked stone walls. In its simplicity, each and everyone of these details became very important to not overwhelm this tiny powder room.
